About Raquel
Raquel Pérez, MA, LPC, NCC, is a dedicated counselor and the founder of Intima Couples and Sex Therapy PLLC, located in Lakewood, Colorado. Born and raised in the Denver metro area, Raquel identifies as a gay, Mexican-American woman and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
As a proud single mother of three, Raquel earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Metropolitan State University in 2013 while raising her children. She continued her education at Palo Alto University, obtaining a master's degree in counseling. During her academic journey, Raquel dedicated over 16 years to Denver Health, providing care to some of Denver's most vulnerable populations.
Raquel specializes in working with marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, and offers a range of therapeutic services such as couples counseling, sex therapy, and ketamine-assisted therapy. Her approach is trauma-informed, sex-positive, and culturally sensitive, ensuring a non-judgmental and shame-free space for all clients.
At Intima Couples and Sex Therapy, Raquel believes in providing a therapeutic environment free of shame, guilt, and judgment, honoring both her story and the stories of those she works with. She is passionate about supporting clients on their journey toward healthy intimacy, open communication, and personal growth.
Raquel offers services to individuals and couples, focusing on areas such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sexual dysfunction, and multicultural concerns. She is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for exploration and self-awareness, helping clients find answers and direction from within themselves.
